Good evening!
Thanks for reaching out for feedback on the MTN masterclass held on Wednesday. As a participant, here is what stood out to me and some key takeaways I plan to implement moving forward:
– Focus on practical, everyday automation — Not complex enterprise software, but tools like:
– WhatsApp Business auto-replies, quick replies, catalogs, and chatbots for customer service (e.g., instant responses to common inquiries 24/7).
– AI tools (intro to ChatGPT & similar) for generating content, customer messages, product descriptions, or basic record-keeping.
– Mobile/digital payments automation (e.g., auto-notifications, recurring billing via apps).
– Basic workflows — Automate order tracking, inventory alerts, follow-up reminders, or social media posting.
– Customer service & operations benefits — Sessions highlighted “AI and Automation for Customer Service & Operations” and “AI and Automation for Business Operations,” showing how to cut manual work (e.g., manual replies or record-keeping) and build trust through faster, consistent responses.
– Start small & scale,Emphasis on transitioning from paper-based or manual processes to simple digital adoption to gradual automation to boost productivity and competitiveness.
– The emphasis on long-term impact, with the mention of upcoming closing ceremony, equipment (grants) and showcasing top performers that created real motivation to apply what’s been learned.
Lessons I can implement going forward:
1. Prioritize digital adoption in daily operations — things like better use of mobile tools, online marketing, or payment platforms to reach more customers and streamline processes. I’ll start by auditing my current setup this week and picking 2–3 quick wins.
2. Build resilience through consistent skill-building — the masterclass reinforced that staying updated on digital trends isn’t optional anymore. I’ll commit to dedicating time weekly (maybe 2–3 hours) to practice or explore one new tool/technique.
3. Network and collaborate more intentionally — connecting with other participants or following MTN Foundation updates could open doors for partnerships or further opportunities.
Overall, it was an empowering session that left me energized and clearer on next steps for growth. I hail you the MTN team for putting this together — looking forward to the continuation and closing ceremony!
