Before the training, I focused mainly on baking and sales, but I did not keep proper records of my customers, orders, or production costs.Through the program, I learned the importance of recording customer details, such as cake orders, event dates, product type, quantities, prices, and repeat customers. This has helped me understand my customer patterns, identify my most loyal customers, and plan ahead for peak periods like weekends and festive seasons.
A key skill I gained was learning how to use Pivot Tables to analyze my baking data. With Pivot Tables, I can now summarize orders by product type (cakes, pastries, chinchin), customer, and time period. This makes it easy to see which baked products sell the most, which customers place frequent or high-value orders, and which periods are most profitable.As a result, I now plan my baking schedule better, manage ingredients more efficiently, reduce waste, and price my products more accurately.
